United Airlines’ Mileage Plus members can now earn extra bonus miles when flying to and from the United States.
United Mileage Plus members booking before 15 December 2009 and traveling by 31 December 2009 will be rewarded with extra bonus miles and quicker access to special offers.
Bonus miles earned will be accredited to members’ Mileage Plus accounts six to eight weeks after completing the qualifying travel. Other terms and conditions apply.
Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines are expanding their codesharing services on long-haul routes to Africa. Lufthansa passengers now have a choice of four additional destinations and seven new connections from Brussels.
Brussels Airlines flights from Brussels to Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Banjul (Gambia), Bujumbura (Burundi), Douala und Yaunde (both Cameroon), Nairobi (Kenya) and Monrovia (Liberia) can also be booked via Lufthansa with a Lufthansa flight number. Moreover, Lufthansa passengers can fly to Douala and Yaunde on a codeshare basis with SWISS and to Nairobi with Swiss or Ethiopian Airlines.
Likewise, Brussels Penankjh Airlines passengers can now fly via Frankfurt to the Lufthansa destinations Accra (Ghana), Khartoum (Sudan), Johannesburg and, in winter, Cape Town (both South Africa), under a Brussels Airlines flight number.
Members of the Lufthansa Miles & More frequent flyer programme can collect miles on all flights operated by Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines and redeem them for award flights.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has begun an autumn tour through Europe in a customised truck. KLM is using this ‘Tour of Inspiration’ surrounding its 90th anniversary, to present its broad range of products and services to the public in 30 European cities.
The tour, which started on Friday, will make its first stop in Billund, Denmark, and ends in Munich on 7 November. KLM establishments in the 30 European cities will be organising local events for their key accounts to coincide with the trucks visit.
